Proficiency in data entry is essential, however, as you will be required to handle a minimum of 50-60 calls or entries per shift (high-touch prescriptions).

Responsibilities

Handle diverse responsibilities related to patient care and billing, concentrating on addressing unfilled prescriptions using the Kroll system.
Oversee dispensing activities and manage patient medication administration records within Kroll.
Perform detailed reviews of patient histories to confirm all necessary information is in their file, coordinating with Patient Support Programs or other relevant groups to verify details.
Display strong English communication skills, especially in phone and written interactions with patients. Calls demand professionalism, empathy, and clear dialogue, as many situations require using problem-solving abilities to help patients manage various conditions.
Contact patients regarding outstanding account balances, clearly and effectively communicating the reason for the collections call.
Carry out data entry functions, which includes using Kroll and processing manual submissions for retroactive billing (back billing) claims.
Stay current with workflow tasks, guaranteeing timely follow-up with patients and settling any pending billing problems.
Qualifications

A minimum of two years of prior full-time experience as a pharmacy assistant, from any practice environment, is necessary to ensure you are well-prepared for the role.

Expertise in supporting billing and adjudication processes for private insurance is also required.
Proficiency with Kroll software in a moderately busy to high-volume pharmacy is preferred; however, candidates with strong billing and adjudication skills using other pharmacy-specific software are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication abilities are essential for this position.
This position requires working entirely on-site (it is not a remote or hybrid role).
