    We are recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant for a non-retail pharmacy in the Mississauga area.     The Pharmacy Assistant is a packaging role in a high-volume environment similar to long-term care. The Pharmacy Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are filled correctly, on time, and according to a high standard of quality. Working with a small team of 3, the Pharmacy assistant operates PACMed and PACVision machines, fills and packages medications, and uses a keen eye for detail to avoid errors. If you enjoy owning your work from start to finish, this is the role for you!

    We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Assistant in the Mississauga with availability to start as soon as possible.

    Responsibilities
    What YOU will be doing as a Pharmacy Assistant:

    - Packaging medications using PACMed
    - Picking medications and filling trays
    - Using attention to detail and expertise to ensure that medications are properly packaged and follow quality standards
    - Receiving and monitoring inventory
    - Operating and maintaining PACMed and PACVision machines
    - Working with the pharmacy team to ensure that orders are filled to deadline in accordance with policies and procedures


    Qualifications
    What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Assistant:

    - 1-3 years of experience in community or long-term care pharmacy
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must
    - Previous Experience with PACMed or PACVision
    - Excellent attention to detail
    - Organization and time management skills
    - Strong commitment to excellence and quality
    - Good communication skills
    - Team player - comfortable working in a team of 3
