Responsibilities
As a Supervisor in this non-retail pharmacy setting, you will oversee and assist pharmacy team members in processing prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner, in addition to other technical tasks. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities associated with leading the team of pharmacy technicians and assistants under your supervision, you will also have some responsibilities related to administrative and training oversight of the team members and accountability towards the achievement of timely delivery and efficient team operations. You will be trained on company-specific processes and will be responsible for ensuring that the utmost care is taken in the storage, dispensing, and delivery of prescriptions to patients. You will leverage your passion for patient care to produce prescriptions, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, within your scope.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate possesses at least 1 year of continuous leadership experience (i.e. Team lead, supervisor) in a high volume pharmacy setting (any high volume setting is fine including long term care, central fill, etc.), including oversight of a team of at least 5 direct reports (pharmacy support staff)
- A valid and active RPhT license in good standing with the OCP is preferred; however, candidates with a strong background of experience not in possession of a license will be fully considered
- Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills are required
- Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
- Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts during weekdays (day shift only) with full availability Mondays through Fridays and open to help out on the occasional weekend if the business requires (with time off in lieu)
