Responsibilities
• Assess the extent of the disability by asking the claimant and the employer through an interview or letter
• Make a medical inquiry by phone or in writing with the claimant, employer, doctors and any other medical providers
• Write letters to inform all parties concerned of decisions relating to a disability file
• Implement return-to-work programs
• Evaluate medical care coordination and rehabilitation programs to ensure they lead to favorable outcomes
• Meet service level agreements associated with policyholder claims
• Respond to all telephone inquiries from the claimant, physician or lawyer regarding the assessment of a claim
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in kinesiology, disability management, physiotherapy and/or you have experience as a disability specialist, rehabilitation counselor, occupational therapist or occupational therapy consultant, massage therapist
• Fluency in French and English, both oral and written, is required.
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Lead to deal with different priorities and various deadlines.
