Are you an 4th class stationary engineer/ compressor operator looking to grow for a leadership role?
Do you have experience with blow mold equipment and compressores?

If yes, this may be the right opportunity for you.


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

-the plant engineer will provide direction and assistance to the Licensed Operating Engineers and Compressor Operators

-coordinate and hire outside contractors for emergency repairs and scheduled building maintenance such as annual electrical scan.

-provide detailed layouts for machine and downstream installations for new and existing business.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

-issue purchase orders for equipment as required.

-ensure all project costs are within the allotted approved capital expenditure.

-inform Operations Manager of any possible overspending before it happens.

-assist Operations with respect to quotations and budgeting of new projects relating to machinery and building upgrades.

-oversee the day to day activities of the Licensed Operating Engineers and Compressor Operators

-develop annual goals and objectives that are measurable and can be used as an evaluation tool at year end.

-initiate disciplinary action when company policies and procedures are not being followed.


EDUCATION:

Required:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent of 10 years experience in the plastics industry dealing directly with machine/auxiliary equipment installations as well as building maintenance.

Holds an operating engineer license as a compressor operator or higher (mandatory)

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Facilities Manager/ maintenance responsible for building maintenance and new equipment installations.

Computer literate (CAD drawings)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
