Our client in the Burlington area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Plant Manager to join their team! As a Plant Manager, you would be responsible for providing leadership and management to plant operations through hands-on leadership, increasing production, maintaining and improving current quality standards, on-time shipping, safety programs and ensuring staff is trained and qualified to perform planned tasks.

In this role, specific responsibilities would include:
•Develops and implements plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets.
•Coordinates, sets up and implements standard operating procedures for all production operations.
•Manages development of production schedules and coordinates an inventory of raw materials and finished products.
•Plans and implements changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work.
•Directs quality control inspection system on production floor and develops production reporting procedures.
•Manages the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
•Ensures that goods are produced on time and are of acceptable quality based on unique client requirements.
•Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
•Develops equipment maintenance schedules and recommends the replacement of machines.
•Hires, supervises, trains or oversees training of supervisors and employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
•Ensures that health and safety guidelines are followed.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
•5+ years of management experience within a manufacturing environment
•Strong motivational and leadership skills
•Collaborative management style
•Post-secondary education, preferably in a technical field (ie Engineering)
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
