Responsibilities
• Oversee all production activities on the plant floor, ensuring product quality, on-time shipping, and production output meet company standards.
• Select and purchase raw materials and other packaging plant supplies from first-grade suppliers that comply with industrial and standard quality requirements.
• Maintain plant equipment, facilities, and obtain machinery, software, and hardware related to production.
• Make independent decisions on major production-related issues and monitor operations to trigger corrective actions.
• Supervise all aspects of production and related paperwork, as well as control shipping procedures.
• Manage and develop plant staff by building a trusting relationship with workgroups, recruiting personnel, and discharging middle management production and manufacturing personnel when necessary.
• Conduct activities according to quality standards and established company policies.
• Provide proven work experience and managerial experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
• Develop accountability and lead by example.
• Exhibit strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluent in English)
• Proven track record of success managing and motivating cross-functional teams; building trust; holding individual team members accountable; leading by example
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to dig into the details and troubleshoot; quick to ascertain a situation, be decisive and implement solution
• Ability to lead and drive multiple competing priorities; ability to manage production deadlines and shipping dates; follow through
• Team player with a customer-centric mindset; positive attitude; results-driven approach; self-motivated
• Exhibit high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information; work with integrity
• Commitment to workplace safety and a strong health and safety culture; understanding of health and safety regulations • Flexible; adapt to change; ability to influence and get others on board
