Randstad Engineering is seeking a Materials Process Engineer on behalf of our Client, a world-class manufacturer of automotive components based in Southwestern Ontario.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for reporting on potential materials issues related to flow, packaging and equipment, line side delivery, shipping and receiving. You’ll also be able to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic team to develop and implement solutions for these issues as they arrive. Additional duties and responsibilities include the following:

•Reviewing and reporting on program/project specific requests
•Recommending appropriate material handling and storage equipment, as well as investigating new systems and supporting their implementation
•Updating and maintaining workload calculations
•Providing education and guidance on lean material handling methods
•Assisting in the restructuring of storage locations, plant modifications, and line staging requirements
•Preparing cycle-time analysis and/or time studies to facilitate material flow exercises
•Maintaining PFEP
•Supporting MAFACT activities/presentations

The ideal Candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

•An Engineering Degree/Diploma in a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable work-related experience
•3-5 years of experience specifically related to troubleshooting, repairing, and improving systems within a manufacturing (ideally Automotive) environment
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•The desire to learn and absorb new training/mentoring
