The successful candidate will have strong technical acumen with at least five years of progressive industrial projects experience in a procurement role. Experience managing multimillion dollar contracts, providing support to project managers, and collaborating with clients are all critical skills for the role. Candidates should have experience with procurement of both equipment and contractor service contracts. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of delivering projects in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Responsibilities
•Maintaining and demonstrating the PMO’s standards of practice including a commitment to safety, corporate social responsibility, and core values.
•Developing and executing approved project plans related to procurement and logistics.
•Identifying changes in project scope contracts; ensuring scope changes are being addressed by project management.
•Providing status updates and projections regarding RFP’s, vendor fulfillment, and deliveries
•Collaborating with the Project Engineering team to ensure the technical solutions meet client requirements.
•Participating in continuous improvement initiatives towards our PMO standards and processes.
•Leading with a strong commitment to quality and engineering design processes.
•Managing a portfolio of small to large multimillion dollar contracts
•Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues
•Transferring learning from project implementation into the improvement of PMO best practices
•Participating in strategic project reviews as required to continuously assess and improve
Qualifications
•Over five years of experience in a procurement role working on industrial capital projects
•Diploma or Degree in supply chain, procurement, logistics or business management
•A demonstrated ability to manage a steady and high-volume workload,
•A demonstrated ability to build relationships and coordinate technical engineering inputs aligned with quality standards
•Previous experience operating in a dynamic and cross-functional role requiring deep subject matter expertise, understanding, and hands on approach to solving problems
•Extensive stakeholder management experience and comfortable communicating with teams internally and externally with clients
•An ability to manage competing demands while remaining flexible and able to empower others
•Experience creating and making project plans related to supply chain and procurement and proven capabilities in writing reports and technical communications
•Strong organizational, and execution skills, including financial analysis
•Proficient in project management software as well as document control software
•A commitment to continued professional development including continuously improving their knowledge of our clients technologies and services
•Previous experience developing and maintaining procurement procedures and project plans, or best practices is considered an asset
