The Claims Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the processing and management of all claims filed with the organization. This includes ensuring accurate and timely adjudication of claims, ensuring proper record-keeping, and providing customer service throughout the claims process.

Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule (7-4, 8-5, or 9-6)
Hybrid Work: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote after training

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all claims activities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming claims at the location.
Review, evaluate, and gather relevant documentation to support claims investigations.
Engage with third-party administrators (TPA) as per claims administration protocols and procedures.
Prepare and update Excel claims data reports as necessary.
Communicate with claimants, insurance carriers, and TPA to gather additional claim documentation required for investigation and processing.
Collaborate with various departments to manage and resolve claims effectively.
Enter claims into the database daily.
Respond to claims-related emails, inquiries, and calls within 24 hours.
Work with product support and quality control teams to handle and resolve smaller labor/installation claims.
Keep management informed about area activities and significant issues.
Attend and participate in meetings as needed.
Assist Sales and Customer Service Representatives with handling and resolving smaller customer accommodation claims.
Ensure real-time updates of claim files with developments and documents.
Complete special projects as assigned.
In the Risk Manager’s absence, forward newly-filed litigation to TPA for handling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bilingual in French and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience in Professional Liability or General Liability insurance claims handling.
Experience with electronic Claims Systems/Claims Databases.
Hardworking, action-oriented, and results-driven and deadline oriented
Ability to present information effectively
Team oriented
