We are seeking a Product Engineer for a well established high tech manufacturing client of ours in the Victoria area. . Our ideal candidate has at least five years of industry/academic experience in medical equipment design and test, product requirements management, and validation of complex semiconductor devices.

Responsibilities
• Design and execute product validation plan (acquisition, processing, reporting)
• Bring up and maintain requirement management software tools (Jama)
• Participate in product and test system design
• Manage product test specifications
• Participate in failure mode analysis (product development and RMAs)
• Support the product reliability program
• Participate in customer meetings and other support activities as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D degree in systems or electrical engineering, engineering physics, physics, biophysics or equivalent
You should have at least 5+ years of industry and/or academic experience, and knowledge in many of the following areas:
• Validation of complex semiconductor devices such as x-ray detectors
• hands-on experience with testing or systems applications of X-ray detectors, gamma-ray detectors and/or semiconductor devices
• Working knowledge of product development and validation in IS09001 and/or IS013485 environments
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Good customer facing experience and skills
• Ability to apply statistical tools is an asset such as JMP
