We are seeking a Production Assistant with previous experience in a high volume fast pace facility to join the ranks of a reputable company in the Advertising and Print industry.
In this role you will work with the V.P. of Production to ensure the smooth running of operations in the production area.
If you have great written/verbal communication skills, have experience overseeing multiple employees in a production environment, can multi task and have experience completing projects quickly and efficiently than apply today.

Job Title: Production Assistant/Lead
Salary Range based on previous experience and skills $50,000 - $80,000
Shift: 10:00AM - 6:00PM Monday to Friday (can vary depending on business needs)
Location: Training at Scarborough location (Birchmount Rd. & Ellesmere Rd.)
Working Location: Brampton (Goreway Dr. & Steeles Ave E)
(candidates must be willing to train in Scarborough and will transfer to Brampton location after training)

Responsibilities
- Assist the V.P. of Production in overall direction, coordination, planning, control and operation of Print room, letter Shop, Shipping/Receiving departments
- Assist with scheduling all production areas for maximum efficiencies in consideration of customer schedules
- Assist with forecasting and planning labour requirements, scheduling to accommodate the workload in each department
- Communicate with designated employee to contact temporary employees when needed to meet staffing requirements in production area
- Monitor and ensure all production issues are resolved prior to impacting clients by adjusting schedules and staffing as needed
- Provide training as required to ensure team members are able to meet or exceed service levels and quality commitments in a safe and competent manner
- Connect with Maintenance department, Equipment manufacturers and/or contractors as required to ensure equipment is operating at a high level of performance
- Complete daily tracking and update necessary spreadsheets and reports as directed by the V.P. of Production
- Participate in maintaining and developing Quality Assurance policies to reduce errors and decrease costs and improve productivity
- Ensure your staff understand and comply with all company policies and procedures
- With assistance from the CS/Inventory control representative oversee client and internal inventory
- Mentor, coach and develop staff and encourage employees to do their best work
- Complete other daily responsibilities in the absence of the V.P. of Production
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of Production Assistant/Lead experience leading small production teams
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a deadline sensitive environment
- Previous experience completing time sensitive projects
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
- Must be decisive and very organized
- Previous experience in Digital Print preferred
- Must have high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must have experience completing inventory and scheduling
- Great attention to detail to ensure top quality of final product
- SOC 2 Team Member
