Responsibilities
-Lead, develop and manage the overall plant Period and Variable costs and production volumes to achieve Plan
-Ensure that the Plant Production and Plant Day Operations team organizational structure is effective, technically competent, and that employees are appropriately trained
-Provide consistency to Labour Relations, Performance Feedback for Production Supervisors and Staff
-Maintain compliance with applicable Process Safety standards, regulatory requirements, Company policies, safety and
environmental standards, and good housekeeping and Responsible Care® practices
-Foster, develop, participate in, and encourage an environment across the plant facility for continuous improvement
-Manage system for reporting and investigating impacts to plant OEE
-Maintain collaborative working relations with Divisional and other external support groups
-Understand and fulfil responsibilities outlined in the Quality Management System
-Oversee cross-departmental interface to ensure safe and efficient preparation of equipment for planned/unplanned/turnaround maintenance or projects.
-Participate in JHSC and and provide feedback/support for actions arising from committee
Qualifications
-Engineering degree or related technical accreditation.
-Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a related chemical industry with minimum five (5) years’ demonstrated supervisory skills
-The individual in this role must continuously display excellent Leadership skills, Production Knowledge and work co-operatively and effectively with all plant departments and corporate groups to foster a continuous improvement environment.
-Must be proficient with common MS office software
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong focus on safety and environmental performance
-Strong technical and problem solving skills
-Able to work within a multi-discipline team
-Ensure the production resourcing structures are effective, employees are technically competent and appropriately trained
-Ensure long term succession plans for key roles are developed to provide job continuity and development opportunities for existing employees
-Lead the plant production team to ensure consistent labour relations practices within the framework of the Collective Agreement/s are carried out
