CASCADES TISSUE GROUP

Cascades Tissue Group, a division of Cascades Canada ULC is the second largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth in North America. Cascades Tissue Group offers a complete and varied range of hand towels, batch tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers in the consumer and away-from-home markets.

Cascades is seeking qualified Production Operators to join our growing Production team! We currently have opportunities available in both our paper making and converting departments. As a new Production candidate you will be trained in multiple aspects of the mill, making you a highly valuable member of our team.

The position will be responsible for:

Operate winder, logsaw, wrapper, case packer, case printer, case sealer, and many more
Complete roll changes, including webbing up the machine
Check and fill lamination, tail tie and pick up glues
Troubleshoot machine operation issues
Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and fire extinguishers
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete product changeovers
Follow production schedules and complete production goals
Load boxes by hand to case packers
Maintain equipment and keep work environment clean
Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions
Ensure conformance to product specifications by completing all quality checks
Participate and ensure completing all job functions with the recognized safety guidelines
Other job juties as assigned

Qualified candidates have:

A high school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year minimum consecutive production experience
One (1) year of forklift experience
Able to work holidays, weekends, and a rotating twelve (12) hour shift
Understand the importance of safety, team work, good attendance and production demands
Basic computer skills for production data entry
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing (background, physical, drug test)

Schedule:

Rotating twelve (12) hour shifts an a varying schedule
Non-roating positions are based on seniority and may take three (3) years or longer to achieve
