Production Quality Control Specialist/Engineer - Medical Devices

We’re looking for an experienced Production Quality Control engineer with an Electro-Mechanical background in having experience within the medical device industry. Familiarity with utilization of common quality control measuring devices and tools is a MUST.


• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Self inspect material (Internal Quality Control, both on incoming parts and our own sub-assemblies), to ensure compliance with Company Quality Standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate non-conformance documentation accordingly.
• Rework and/or repair assembled devices and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations. assist in production Cycle Count, as needed;
• Maintain clean and safe working environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Abiding by all Health & Safety Regulations.


• 5+ years experience in quality control, preferably in device and instrument production environment.
• Working familiarity with mechanical drawings and electrical circuit
• Strong test, measurement and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of lean manufacturing, six sigma ISO quality system methodology.
•Proven track record in quality control/improvement resulting in product quality improvement leading to labour reduction, assembly yield increase and streamlined work flow.
• Flexibility, strong team approach and capable of multi-tasking, strong sense of work priority and individual responsibility
• Familiarity with utilization of common quality control measuring devices and tools is a MUST.
