Responsibilities
Successfully guide and lead a team in a production environment
Liaises with the Quality, Maintenance and Production Departments to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality;
Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain quality standards;
Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation is suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP, and status at the plant;
Undertakes other functions as required
Qualifications
- 3-5 years leading a team in a production environment
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF), an asset.
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines
