The Production Supervisor is responsible for front-line leadership in day-to-day operations of the designated production team to include safety, quality, efficiencies and meeting customer expectations. Provides overall direction to production floor employees in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.
In this role you will be responsible to supervise a team of 10 people: assemblers, millwrights, electricians and machinists.
The ideal candidate would have had previous experience working a maintenance technician within a customized industrial environment.
A millwright license would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities
- Accomplishes manufacturing and assembly staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Acts as first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failure or production issues.
- May conduct tool store inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.
- Understand and follow all health and safety procedures including safe operation of equipment.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma required—a degree in a technical or relevant field is preferred
•5+ years of experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
•Working knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery, tools and materials.
•Knowledge of quality systems and standards
•Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
•Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong work ethic—self-motivated and results-driven
•Excellent problem-solving skills
•Basic computer skills
•Familiarity with concepts of an ERP system an asset.
