Responsibilities
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the production team to achieve operational excellence and uphold our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Hands-On Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, and oversee the activities of the work shift, working closely with the production employees to ensure smooth operations.
-Safety and Quality Assurance: Prioritize the safety of your team members and ensure the quantity and quality of production output align with our high standards.
-Team Management: Participate in hiring, training, and discipline of employees under your supervision, while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
-Compliance and Collaboration: Enforce site rules, collaborate with Production Supervisors in different departments and shifts, and contribute to maintaining and improving ISO standards.
-Production Efficiency: Assist in production scheduling, maintain quarantined materials inventory, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
-EHS Standards: Ensure compliance with regulatory environmental, health, and safety standards, leading EHS reports and implementing corrective measures.
-Performance Improvement: Lead efficiency improvement meetings, conduct shift crossover meetings, and contribute to the performance evaluation process.
-Continuous Improvement: Continually seek ways to optimize the production process and contribute to the enhancement of work methods and practices.
Qualifications
What you bring:
-Secondary School Graduation Diploma and 5 years of experience in a similar role. College Diploma in Manufacturing, Production, or related field preferred.
-3 - 5 years of experience in a Production Supervisor role
Additional requirements:
Proficiency in mathematics and production analysis.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
A hands-on approach, with approximately 80% of the workload involving on-floor activities with the production team.
Dedication to safety as a top priority.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
ISO 19011 Internal Auditor skills and health and safety committee co-chair experience considered assets.
