This is a central and dynamic position as you will provide technical and functional support of the equity and derivative risk engine which allow our traders and risk analysts to manage their risks on a day to days basis. Good financial knowledge, great communication, social skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our applications.

What will be your day-to-day?
- When you open your laptop, you will have to do various tasks to make sure production is stable.
- During the day you will be expected to troubleshoot functional and technical issues in a complex financial environment with various applications and architecture. You will work closely work with development teams located in Paris.
- Be ready to timely report production and project status to client and IT management.
- Finally, get prepared to learn the key Production Support practices and improve your financial expertise with experienced professionals.

Profile
What does it take to get the job?
The required competencies are:
- 2+ years’ experience as support analyst
- Experience working with relational databases
- Good knowledge of equity and derivatives products
- Good knowledge of core business process like Profit and Loss, Value at Risk and Risk Analysis
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work in a multitasking environment
- Team spirit
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience
In addition, it is a plus if you have:
- ITIL knowledge / certification
- FRM certification
- Speak/write French & English
- Knowledge in Programming (Python, Shell…)
Advantages
Long term contract, 40 hrs a week, large banking environment, Montreal based. Lors of room to grow and develop skills with training and coaching.
IMPORTANT: 10 days per month at the MONTREAL office hybrid model.
Work schedule:
- 2 shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM
- 1 weekend per month (once every quarter per team member)
- NO on call
