The position is a contract role for 6 months with a possibility of extension or permanency depending on your performance and business need.
Advantages
Rate: competitive rates available
Day shift: 18.75
Night shifts: 18.75 + premium (overall rate can be between 20.50 - 21. 50/hr
Shift: 12 hour day- overnight shift - 7pm - 7am. They have long and short weeks,
Example: First week is 3 days at a total of 36 hours (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) then the rest they are off. Second week/ Long week is 48 hours (4 days)
Clean and safe environment
Location: Bus accessible and has free parking
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Working on the assembly line of sensor cards and/ or tapes according to required specifications
• Perform basic machine set-up and maintenance based on the requirements
• Ensure that products are aligned to the company standards and guidelines
• Participates in activities and discussions regarding improvements to the products and the processes
• Performs basic troubleshooting in the production line when needed.
• Provides the needed data sheets required for production
• Assist and train new employees when needed
Qualifications
Qualification:
• Experience working in an production assembly line or as a factory worker
• Comfortable doing repetitive work
• Physical
o Manual dexterity
o Ability to distinguish between colours
o Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
o Extended periods of standing
• Able to work with a team or independently
