Our Transportation and Production/Operations teams are looking for a Transportation and Production supervisor join this dynamic and growing team. If you are someone who has logistics and supervisory experience, and are looking for a new opportunity then this role could be the perfect fit
Your day-to-day could include anything from doing daily rollcall and contributing to operations duties, to reviewing all health and safety incidents and accidents reports, coordinating things with dispatch, or on some days, even getting to do a ride-along with fellow employees to learn what they do!

Individual responsibilities
Accountable
- Engage and develop all your employees
- Ensure compliance with business processes
- Review all health and safety documents as needed
- Manage the team to ensure that all needs are met and everyone is taken care of daily
- Communicating with team members effectively regarding compliance and safety
Responsible
- Travelling to multiple sites within Cascades to assist with both logistics and production based tasks
- Ensure constant communication with employees
- reporting and investigating any health and safety issues within the facilities and report to management
- Coordinate follow-up meetings to ensure targets are met and employees are held accountable
- Address target shortfalls (KPIs) and coordinate applicable action plans
- Plan and coordinate continuous improvement activities
- Support teams in problem solving
Experiences and strengths
- Experience in logistics and transportation fields with a solid understanding of the Ministry of Transportation
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
- AZ/DZ Driver experience an asset
- must have a valid G license
- Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong listening skills to quickly understand needs and issues
- Leadership to cultivate a culture of OHS accountability
- Agility needed to work with various technological tools
- Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset)
