Responsibilities
• Oversee large, cross-functional, inter-connected initiatives through the project life cycle
• Report (both written and verbal) effectively on program updates, risks, and upcoming milestones to various levels of stakeholders
• Work closely with initiative sponsors, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand and decide on strategies and objectives
• Develop business and technical project plans in partnership with the project team to ensure that all initiatives within the program are executed on scope, on schedule and on budget, and within best practices and organizational standards
• Resolve issues and escalate appropriately to ensure smooth delivery
• Develop evaluation method to assess program performance to maximize ROI
• Monitor and manage program Opex and Capex budgets and constraints, where required
• Serve as a trusted advisor to P&C CoE’s, Project Sponsors and Key Stakeholders regarding program/project issues, options, and opportunities for to further organizational capabilities
Qualifications
• 8+ years of related work experience, with direct work experience across a variety of HR disciplines to support a strong foundational knowledge of HR best practices and regulatory processes
• 8+ years of relevant program management experience; with at least 5+ years directly managing projects
• 4 year degree in HR, Business, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Project and/or Program designations (PMP, PgMP, ...)
• Proven experience managing a team of varying skill and technical expertise levels
• Deep understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques - including business case
development, ROI analysis, planning and risk management
• Deep understanding of waterfall and agile practices, particularly Scrum
• Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
• Experience working with various digital human resources system architectures (preference for those with specifically Workday, Avature, and Dayforce WFM)
• Provide guidance and mentorship for project managers within the program
• Experience in managing programs in highly dynamic, global organizations; preference for those experienced in retail or similar industries with blended and distributed workforce (i.e. mix of salary and contingent workers)
• Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into roadmaps
• Takes ownership and follows through on tasks; drives decisions; results-oriented
• Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities
• Creative and curious strategic thinker
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to cater to all audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership
• Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the end user needs at top of mind
