Are you a Project Coordinator who has experience in coordinating and project management of technical infrastructure projects within a retail environment? We are hiring for our client for an initial 6-month contract with high likelihood of multiple extensions. Our large enterprise Edmonton client is looking for a Senior level Project Coordinator on contract for a 12 month contract engagement with the following responsibilities and skill set:A resource is required to report to the Project Management Office and work with Senior Project Managers, Team Leads and Managers with the development, implementation and operation of effective project management administrative standards, policies, and procedures. The Senior Project Coordinator will provide project assistance to the Project Management Office (PMO), Project Managers and the project teams in the fulfillment of the day-to-day project management responsibilities. The candidate will be highly skilled with a solid understanding of project management and / or be a junior project manager. The candidate will find themselves spending time on multiple projects. RESPONSIBILITIES• Identify, prepare, and implement project documents and procedures under the guidance of the Project Managers in compliance with existing standards.• Work with the leadership teams to ensure issues, risks and outstanding items are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.• Assist the managers with Project Charter preparation and approval, work breakdown structures and project plan construction, including resource allocations and estimates.• Manage the reporting requirements for time accounting and status reporting. Coordinate weekly and bi-weekly time accounting; update project management software and other records as required for planning, tracking, and billing administration purposes.• Coordinate the activities of project scheduling to ensure that all activities are completed on time. This includes management of the project plan, preparation of management reports and review with the project manager.• Participate in the preparation of change requests and change request log including related financial impacts.• Participate in project audits and progress reviews as needed.• Raise project issues and risks, as well as quality and scope deviation.• Plan or coordinate the planning of meetings, training, and special events.• Attend or facilitate meetings; prepare and distribute minutes as appropriate.• Assist the Project Managers and IT Managers and Team Leads with team management and team meetings as needed.• Coordinate, prepare or assist with preparation of presentation material.• Monitor and track project related issues and change requests.• Provide assistance and support to the project managers as required on an ongoing basis.• Provide other related project administration and support activities to the PMO and project managers as required. QUALIFICATIONS• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience.• Minimum 5 years’ of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of IT projects, supported by experience as a Junior Project Manager.• Proven experience working on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
