What skills & qualifications do I need?
Post-secondary technical degree (e.g. Information Technology, Business
Commence) or other relevant professional designation, or a combination of
equivalent related training and applicable experience
CRA, CRM, IGP, or other records management/information governance-related
certification would be considered an asset
PMP or CAPM certification is an asset
Advanced knowledge of records management / electronic records management
practices and planning, process, procedure development, and implementation of
the DM program
Five years of experience in Information Governance and Records Management,
more specifically with Electronic Record Management preferably in a corporate
environment

Responsibilities
Develop a strategy to transform RM (Record Management) practices across all record types
(electronic structured, and electronic unstructured) - including formulating guidelines,
roadmap & KPIs to prioritize and comply with RM policy
Establish, execute, and manage consistent processes for common RM capabilities (i.e.
inventory of electronic records, etc.)
Identify and test key RM controls based on relevant policies/standards, significant incidents,
and Risk & Control Self-Assessments
Contribute to building a strong, collaborative relationship with businesses / functions &
provide ongoing RM advisory services
Contribute to increasing awareness of quality control best practices through
communication, training, and reporting efforts as required
Provide guidance and support to Department Records Coordinator (DRC) and Department
Records Representative (DRR) as required
Support the annual destruction/retention process
Develop, maintain, and update RM relating to training and education for the DRC and DRR
Responsible for training and granting access to new DRC and DRR members
Assist in the creation, development, and management processes related to the RM
program
o Generate, maintain and keep updated Records Management documents, processes,
and procedures related to records management
o Maintain and keep updated records in the Access database containing offsite
storage box details and generate reporting
o Maintain and keep updated documentation as required on the SharePoint site
Qualifications

Summary
The Contractor, IT Technical Consultant (Records Management) is accountable for the coordination,
documentation, and oversight of Records Management Program. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the implementation and sustainability of the Electronic Records
Management policy, guidelines, procedures, Standards, Electronic Records Management Retention
Schedule, and Records Management Solution(s). He/she must possess a solid understanding and
knowledge of the electronic Record Management framework and policies. He or she must also have
very strong project management and communication skills to effectively work with external
vendors and internal teams to carry out the workshops.
The successful candidate is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of
business conduct, policies, and internal control procedures, laws, and regulations governing
