Responsibilities
*Investigate and settle property claims throughout Calgary and surrounding area.*Interpret insurance policy wordings as well as determine policy coverage and reserves.
*Investigate and analyze the clientele’s coverage.
*Provide prompt and equitable settlement of claims while exercising superior customer service for policyholders.
*Work together with customers as well as vendors to bring a file to completion providing both sides with a resolution.
*Advise distribution partner on possible coverage opportunities if applicable.
Qualifications
Must Have:
*A minimum 3 years’ experience adjusting residential property claims or working in a relevant property claims role.
*Experiance in property claims dealing with settlements up to $250,000
*Experience in complex claim investigation
*Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
*High energy, positive and detail oriented
*Tech Savvy
Nice to have:
*Experience handling large loss residential property claims would be a definite asset
*Experience adjusting auto claims would be considered an asset
*Completion of the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) or the HAAG Certification is considered an asset
*Experience working with property estimating programs such as Symbility and/or Exactimate is preferred
*Completion of CIP designation or desire to obtain is preferred
