      Are you a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Technician with your Journeyman ticket? Do you have experience with off-road equipment? You will be responsible for the assessment, maintenance, and repair of various on-site equipment such as haul trucks, graders, dozers, and excavators. You will ensure that work is completed safely with proper paperwork supporting inspection. All equipment maintenance will be performed according to standards, procedures, and practices set by the employer. Know all the required parts that will be needed to complete the job assigned. Work with the parts department and their staff to best serve the customer• Participate in company and manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the shop foreman• Keeps shop area neat, clean, and safe. It is a rotation based role and camp is provided. A really success Heavy Duty Technician in this role will be able to balance client interactions, working with teams from various departments and solo repair and maintenance work. This takes both well rounded knowledge of machinery but also exceptional communication skills to explain, issues, and results that are digestible to the audience you are speaking with .This Fly In / Fly Out role in the North West Territories will have both day and night shifts. The role also has a paperwork and reporting so computer skills are still the way of the future.
