Role: ePrecribing QA Analyst
Project(s): PrescribeIT (TM)
Reporting to: Director, Product Management
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility to renew for an additional 6-month term
Start Date: A.S.A.P.
Language Requirements:
Excellent English spoken and written required

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel within Ontario

Position Purpose:

The ePrescribing QA Analysts are responsible for supporting Point of Service (POS) Vendors, including Pharmacy Management System (PMS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solutions, with input and response messaging requirements during development, integration and conformance testing of electronic prescription capabilities within their applications.

Major Responsibilities:

Support the Point of Service vendors during software development and conformance testing phases of their integration with the client's e-Prescribing solution.
Use Pharmacy Management System (PMS) to transmit, receive and test characteristics of electronic prescriptions and messaging functions of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Use EMR instance to transmit, receive and test characteristics of electronic prescription and messaging functions of Pharmacy Management Systems.
Simulate clinical interactions.
Create messages by levering in-house instances of POS systems
Enter information into specific fields in EMR & PMS applications
Interact with developers and answer basic questions about messaging
Provide sample messages and reply messages to vendors
Identify, document and communicate defects and successfully executed tasks
Support Development and Conformance Managers with activity logging, milestone tracking, status updates and administrative tasks.
Support user acceptance testing of software releases
Documentation of test cases and specification changes

Qualifications:

2+ years experience working with EMR and/or PMS systems.
2+ years of medical data-entry or record keeping experience
2+ years experience in client-facing positions
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, JIRA, CRM, Web and Mobile
Experience with testing automation tools, loading of automation test cases and reporting would be an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to assess and trouble-shoot minor technical issues
Clinical experience would be an asset
