Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications for the company.
Collaborate with the purchasing manager to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements.
Establish and enforce standards for health and safety during work operations.
Conduct research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources.
Ensure manufacturing processes follow national and international production standards.
Conduct surveys to identify customer requirements and ensure they are met by established quality standards.
Provide recommendations to company management on ways to improve existing quality processes.
Analyze relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance.
Supervise technicians, inspectors, and other company staff to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures.
Monitor product development processes to identify deviations from quality policies.
Conduct tests to verify the quality of raw materials and finished products.
Review existing process and product specifications to identify the need for improvement or upgrade.
Approve compliant products and reject defective ones.
Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
Maintain proper records of quality test procedures and standards.
Manage the STT quality system, actively engaged in equipment inspection, accuracy to print, validation of final product prior to shipping to customers.
Identify and report deficiencies through the appropriate channels for resolution and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
Conduct internal audits to ensure quality system compliance.
Act as the point of contact with auditor(s) in support of external audit(s).
Maintain and update internal Quality Manual, Quality Control process and procedures.
Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and codes when applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science or business-based programs.
7-10 years of Quality Control/Management Experience in the manufacturing industry.
Experience managing direct reports.
Knowledge of GMP, SSOP, and HACCP principles is required.
Solid analytical and technical skills are required.
Strong understanding of testing procedures and lab functions is required.
Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
Proficient in computer technology and systems.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
In-depth knowledge of market trends and conditions.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Able to positively influence others.
Great team player with strong interpersonal skills.
