Responsibilities
Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
The Junior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for the development of test plans, test scripts and test cases and executing these against the various components.
The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the required systems.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of the entire Software Testing processes.
Demonstrated experience with software testing and testing methodologies.
Demonstrated experience with manual and automated testing.
Demonstrated experience in writing test scripts, test cases and test scenarios, testing web applications and reporting defects.
Working with technical team, business analyst, and business teams to identify gaps in solutions due to missing requirements in current documentation/solution artifacts.
Experience with supporting investigation of production defects, and then testing hotfixes.
Technical Skills - 30%
Demonstrated experience in using HPQC/ALM and TFS together to document, track, and record testing progress.
Demonstrated experience in SQL, databases, and XML Demonstrated understanding of AODA.
Demonstrated experience testing for WCAG compliance in web applications, experience using screen reader (JAWS) for testing and HiCompliance Sheriff tool.
Experience with desktop tools (Visio, MS Office, MS Project, MS Outlook).
Demonstrated experience in testing reports and other enhancements to systems.
Demonstrated experience with Test Automation tools in particular Quick Test Pro v10.0, UFT, Compliance Sherriff, Web Accessibility Toolkit, and HP Quality Center.
Experience with reporting in Azure DevOps.
Summary
