Our BC client is seeking to hire ASAP an experienced specialist who will work directly with its R&D and Engineering teams, and its partners and customers to find solutions to technical problems, manage distribution of software releases, confirm software fixes, running testing and troubleshooting embedded firmware.
You should be experienced in troubleshooting I.T. and networking issues, and have strong understand communications at protocol level (http(s), SSL/TLS, TCP, UDP, DHCP, NTP, SIP, DNS, IPv4, IPv6, LDDP-MED)
What will you do?
As an experienced QA Test Engineer you will:
• Design and perform software tests, manual and automated
• Manage distribution of software releases, confirm software fixes.
• Occasionally participate in performing Support Technologist role
Requirements:
Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience designing or troubleshooting software, computer networks, and software products at the packet level.
Required/desired competences ordered by priority:
1. An extensive experience in testing and troubleshooting embedded firmware
2. Experience working with a Software Teams, using Issue Tracking and Bug Tracking software
3. Knowledge of various network protocols: SSL/TLS, DHCP, NTP, SIP, DNS, IPv
4. The advantage will be the following knowledges:
- Experience as a Support Technologist, or Service Technician
- proficiency with computer languages such as Python, XML
- JIRA knowledge
- strong working proficiency in performing software QA
How do you qualify?
To qualify for the Test Engineer role with our client, you must have:
•3-5+ years’ Test and Support Service experience with focusing on troubleshooting I.T. and networking issues
•Excellent English communication, verbal and written, interpersonal, technical and organizational skills.
