Our client, Top 4 Accounting industry is looking for a Quality and Risk Analyst to work a 3-month contract at their Downtown Toronto office. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week up to a rate of $20 per hour.

Background Check
• Conduct “Know Your Client” research on companies and individuals to identify any negative or derogatory aspects that would reflect poorly on the firm, which includes:
o Search incorporation reports, company’s recent development, adverse media, various databases for legal / regulatory cases, etc.
o Use judgment to identify relevant findings that will allow the firm to assess our risk in associating with the subject company / individual.
o Prepare a report to summarize our findings with supporting documentation.
• Research on the ownership of companies.

Conflict Check
• Conduct conflict check prior to client engagement acceptance to identify any potential conflicts of interests and offer engagement teams advice on how to manage the potential conflicts, which includes:
o Research on company, their relevant owners and individuals relevant to the proposed scope of services.
o Search various internal databases for existing relationship that the firm may have with the subject company / individual.
o Prepare and circulate a conflict check message to the affected personnel within the firm.
o Ensure that the recommended conflict check clearance steps are being acknowledged / implemented and follow up as necessary.
o Refer potential conflicts identified to management for resolution.
• Identify statuses of opportunities/engagements for conflict checks performed and update the statuses in our Conflict Check System.

Qualifications
• Completed (or in the progress of completing) College Diploma or undergraduate University degree
• Preference for a research background or experience and/or those with strong business acumen
• Attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; French or Spanish is an asset
• Discrete, available, autonomous and self-starter
• Commitment to quality, ethics and confidentiality
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
