Our client is looking for a Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to join a growing department on contract for 12 months with possible extension.

As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Objectives Expected:

1. This position is responsible for maintaining the Quality database (i.e. Mantis):

i. Delivers electronic notifications as QC issues move thru the lifecycle (new issue - > reviewed -> assigned -> fixed -> tested -> closed);

ii. Provides quality control over content and use of QA database;

iii. Reviews test results with test coordinators during test cycles;

iv. Defect management including identification, prioritizing, logging, tracking and triaging of issues according to priority / severity matrix and

v. Collaborates effectively with test manager, project managers and coordinators.

2. Support logistics, testing


1. The candidate is accountable to meet deadlines set out by the test manager while meeting quality standards set out by the client and project.

2. Comply with client policy and procedures that apply to contract staff.

Description of Work


Quality Assurance

• Oversee and/or participate in the test case development, execution of the tests, defect management and coordination of test activities on projects;

• Provide discipline and structure during test planning, design sessions and requirements reviews.

Quality Control (QC) Issues Database

• Defect management including the identification, prioritizing, logging, tracking and triaging of issues per the internal Quality Management Plan and Integrated Test Plans;

Requirements Verification

• Verification of business requirements and use cases to ensure coverage for building test scripts with municipal business groups, and program team;

• Based on project needs, identify and utilize appropriate testing techniques such as structured and unstructured exploratory testing, white & black box testing, manual and automated testing, scripted and unscripted testing.

Test Execution

• Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Test Manager and municipal business teams in the preparation of test scripts, test execution, reporting results, defect triage meetings and generating reports;

• Coordinate groups in test execution of program, changes to business process and software applications, tools, equipment/PPE;

• Evaluate, document and communicate testing results to Program Manager and Test Manager to enable them to make decisions regarding project health with respect to QA;

• Working closely with other QA resources during projects providing direction, constructive feedback and celebrating accomplishments

Must Haves

The qualified candidate will possess these skills and qualifications:

• A degree is desired, with a preference for Technology, Finance or similar focus.

• A minimum of two to three (2-3) years’experience in analyzing the QA & test needs for projects, coordinating the execution, mitigating and communicating risks, and reporting on the test results;

• Experience querying Cloud-based databases, exporting results and formatting reports;

• Experience utilizing a variety of testing techniques including structured and unstructured exploratory testing, white & black box testing and scripted and unscripted testing

• Experience in mobile testing – iOS, Android and mobile web browsers;

• Support QA requirements as described in ISO 27001 / 27002 and other regulatory best practices adhered to and

• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and G-Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, io.Draw, Drive and Sites) is required.

Nice to Haves

Candidates with these skills and qualifications are desired:

• Familiarity with SDLC and with UML (Unified Modeling Language);
