    Reports To: Quality Manager
    Location: Barrie, ON
    Salary - Depends on Experience

    Advantages
    This key position will be responsible for assisting with technical and design support, application engineering, reverse engineering, quality assurance, documentation, sourcing, and preparing / tracking quotations. This individual must be willing to take initiatives without supervision to develop and refine technical programs needed to support our growing business. He / she must have strong communication skills since they will interact directly with our sales and purchasing groups, as well as vendors, customers and other members of the company. The position will grow with the company, requiring a flexible and energetic person that wants to grow.

    Responsibilities
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Application Engineering – design sealing solutions to suit application parameters provided by the customer and/or using precision measuring instruments to identify and quote based on samples
    • CAD drawings – create CAD drawings of sealing devices that can be used for proposals, quotations, and quality assurance
    • Quotations – Maintain a quotation system that includes internal communication, tracking and follow-up.
    • Quality Assurance – Conduct first off inspections, product verifications and validations, and assist in Maintaining and Refining our Quality Management System under the ISO 9001-2015 program.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by Q.A. /Technical manager

    Qualifications
    • Diploma / Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or equivalent.
    • Two or more years of relevant work experience in an industrial environment preferred, ideally working with plastics and/or rubbers.
    • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 essential
    • Experience using measuring instruments, such as callipers and micrometers.
    • Reliable, organized, focused, motivated.
    • Should be self-starter and require little or no supervision.
    • High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Must have the ability to create and interpret CAD drawings (AUTOCAD)
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
