Our client in the Caledonia and Lawrence W area is looking for a reliable Quality Controller to help in their manufacturing warehouse. This is a 6-week contract position with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications
Job Duties

Production line check and packaging area. (Every 2hr or less)

Documents used for QC checks:

1) QC Batch Line check

2) Daily Packaging Material Check Form

3) QC Daily Batch Coding Check



Production Checks:

*Overall bullet/component checks as per QC standard

- Verify components being used on the line.

- Temperature of product/machine.

- Individual weight check (10 units) per QC check.

- Engraving of ALM (old engraver machine)

- Ensure product information is correct on the board on each machine.

- Document deviations on the forms.

- Collect samples for: Retains, Micro, Hardness and Drop point test



Packaging Checks:

- Verify all packaging materials against approved samples in the binder in the office.

- Folding cartons (ingredients, barcode, artwork ID etc.)

- Batch codes/lot codes

- Stickers/labels

- Inserts/sleeves

- Quantities packed

- Collect label samples for every checks and apply on the forms

- Verify products vs WIP tags being packed.

- Verify information on packaging forms before signing off for approval.

- Verify skid information.

- Document deviations on the forms.



Batch coding in Packaging:

- Verify batch codes. (correct and readable/legible)

- Verify sticker/label. (Information such as name and weight declaration)

- Verify products vs WIP tags.

- Document deviations on the forms.
