Responsibilities
•Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and effectiveness of the integrated Quality & Environmental Management System.
•Support the QHSE Manager to ensure compliance with external audit accreditation such as ISO; internal audits and customer audits. Managing the department’s workload to complete corrective actions in a timely manner.
•Support and communicate the company’s quality and environmental strategy.
•Support the Quality Manager to implement improvements to the company’s quality and environment processes. Ensure all activities are monitored and documented using the appropriate tools and methods.
•Support the company’s Quality Assurance department on a day-to-day level, providing the QA with support as and when required, in a timely manner.
•Monitor the quality of all products manufactured, ensuring that the correct processes are being adhered to and that the in process and finished good meet the required specification. Direct and support corrective actions to resolve quality concerns.
•Assist concern resolution through regular communication with and direction from the management teams.
•Lead multidisciplinary teams for Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement (CACI) of processes and products.
•Ensure PDCA cycle is integrated into process improvement activities (CACI, Quick Kaizen).
•Collaborate with customers, suppliers and the company’s personnel regarding risk management and complaint resolution/response of product and process issues.
•Ensure relevant process documents are up-to-date and communicated to the relevant individuals (Quality Alerts, Non-Conformance & 8D, Process flows, CP, PFMEA, Work Instructions, Presentations).
•Maintain the Quality and Environmental Management systems and distribute controlled documents/database to support IS0 9001:2015/ISO 14001:2015.
•Co-ordinate the company’s internal audit program, with responsibility to achieve on time completion of audits and closure of all outstanding actions in a timely manner.
•Co-ordinate the supplier audit process, including both remote and on-site, working with suppliers and internal departments to assist process improvements at the company’s and drive cost down opportunities.
•Responsible for guaranteeing up to date and correct documentation across the site, including but not limited to the management of accurate data within the company’s quality and environmental management systems.
•Responsible for ensuring that quality and environmental information is recorded, stored and communicated to the relevant parties, both internal and external.
•Professionally represent the company with respect to customer concerns, complaints, and supplier non-conformances.
•Travel to customer and supplier sites will be required as needed as a solid understanding of their processes and issues.
•Responsible for the maintenance and distribution of SDS database.
•Generate and distribute Certificates of Analysis to various customers electronically and via Supplier online systems.
Qualifications
•Excellent communication and administration skills.
•5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
•Strong computer software capabilities (MS Office, QMS, MRP, etc.).
•JHSC certification.
•Knowledge of WHMIS and SDS compliance and regulations.
•Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 140001 requirements.
•Certified ISO Internal Process Auditor or willingness to obtain.
•Knowledgeable in the use of root cause analysis, problem solving, and corrective action tools and methods.
•Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training as a minimum.
•Understanding of APQP & PPAP documentation and statistical software systems.
•Degree/Certificate in a Health and Safety, environmental or quality discipline.
•First aid certification.
