This opening is for Day Shift: - Mon to Thurs (6:30am to 4:00pm) Fri- (6:30am to 3:00pm) 44hrs/week however a split shift or occasional rotation of shifts may be required.

Responsibilities
-Perform hands on inspection of processed and fabricated components including dimensional, fit up, machining, paint, weld quality and NDT may be required
-Assist Q.A. Manager in producing and organizing quality controls to obtain manufacturing efficiency and quality
-Read and interpret drawings and specifications verifying specified dimensions of parts or material
-Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements
-Perform other such duties that may be required.
-Complete all necessary Quality Control documents as required
-Examine material or product for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds
-Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts
Qualifications
-Completion of High School/High School Diploma or equivalent
-Previous experience in an ISO certified fabrication environment as an inspector but will also consider applicants with experience as a weld inspector, fitter, SQE or manufacturing specialist with a wide variety of process skills.
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a custom architectural and or medium to heavy OEM fabrication environment.
-Must have an above average ability to read and understand fabrication and machining drawings, GD&T an asset
-The ability to use precision measuring and test equipment (i.e. calipers, CMM, paint verification,) is an asset.
-NDE experience is an asset
-Must be able to thrive in a team environment, but also work independently.
-This hands on position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail is a must.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed for this position.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD and or SolidWorks, AWS and CSA weld standards, and ISO Auditing skills an asset.
-Practice safe work procedures and follow all health & safety regulations
