Responsibilities
As a Reconciliations Administrator, your duties will be:
•Updating regularly and maintaining the Portal & SOP database as a result of change requests submitted via the Jira system, attestation process or individual requests.
•Collaborating with BCS users and Reconciliations Services processing team to ensure the effective and timely on-boarding of new reconciliations to RS, as well as facilitation of changes to existing reconciliations, including training and documentation.
•Assisting with improving the onboarding process by questioning current processes to remove redundancy and obstacles.
•Maintaining a regular triage process to accuracy of main requests’ details as well as identify instances where updates to the portal and/or the SOP database might be required.
•Working as an administrator in Jira.
•Gathering all the requirements necessary to get the Jira ready and prepare User Stories for items in the backlog and discuss with the scrum team in refinement sessions.
•Assisting with the prioritization and update the Jira system after the prioritization and throughout the month as items shift and change.
•Maintaining and accurate backlog readiness list used by to determine the allocation of dev work.
•Escalating issues and roadblocks to drive better results in a timely manner and recommend resolutions to support decision making.
•Assisting with projects related to Reconciliations Services by communicating with stakeholders, documenting meeting summaries, requirements, and processes, and executing assigned tasks, etc.
•Managing ad-hoc tasks that emerge as necessary, and provide status updates regularly.
Qualifications
•Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Math.
•Highly organized with a strong commitment to task and attention to details.
•Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels both internally and externally.
•Ability to manage priority and multi-task.
•Ability to learn quickly and to perform well under pressure.
•Ability to stay proactive and to complete tasks independently.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
•Flexibility; self-starter;
•Ability to work independently and with little supervisory; result and detail oriented
Nice to have:
•1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial services industries or in a business analyst or similar role.
•Basic or advanced working knowledge of VBA, SQL, Tableau, or Python is an asset.
•Good understanding of Capital Markets and banking operations/trading activity.
•Good understanding of project management, scrum and/or agile environment,
•Practical experience in Jira and/or confluence.
