This shop services and repairs fleet and light-duty vehicles that may typically be equipped with hydraulic cranes, compressors, or rail vehicle attachments. Training and coaching are provided for specialized utility vehicle attachments.
Permanent position
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm
Salary: $38 - $40 an hour (based on certification and experience)

Responsibilities
As a certified Automotive Mechanic, a normal day would include:
- Reviewing work assigned by the shop supervisor
- Performing diagnostics, completing corrective and preventative maintenance, as well as aftermarket modifications on fleet and light-duty vehicles.
- complete work in an efficient, safe cost-effective timely manner
- Completing paperwork and communicating with the supervisor regarding repairs, work status, and concerns
- Work as part of a team as well as independently to support the daily needs of the shop
- Ability to work safely and follow safety practices and regulations
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Endorsement
- Certified for MPI Safety Inspections
- MOPIA certified is a strong asset
- Familiar with troubleshooting electrical components
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in an upbeat tempo environment
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to lift 60lbs safely as needed
- Ability to work as a team or individual
- Need to be legally able to work in Canada
