Responsibilities
*Perform Single Risk Administration (Cession Management) for a portfolio of clients
*Emphasise data quality and integrity in every step of the process
*Receive, log and publish raw client inforce and transaction data
*Ensure risk is within treaty parameters and in line with facultative details
*Resolve any data issues with clients in a timely and efficient manner
*Create and enter premium accruals (estimates) on a quarterly basis
*Monitor past due balances and follow-up with clients as required
*Monitor unallocated cash balances
*Initiate reinsurance payment disbursements (net settlements etc.)
*Ensuring all claim settlement requests from the portfolio are appropriate, within treaty terms
and conditions, and settled within relevant service standards
*Support internal and third party audits
*Participation in Support Single Risk Projects and operational improvement and project
activities to enhance the value added by the Operations team
*Maintain accurate and current procedural notes
*Develop and maintain good relations with colleagues
Qualifications
*3+ years of relevant experience & industry knowledge
*LRM experience (or equivalent)
*SQL / Excel / (Power BI an asset)
*In depth knowledge of life (re)insurance
*Have a strong understanding of treaty wording & application
*Ability to work independently and take initiative
*Inquisitive - has the confidence to question, challenge and influence change as appropriate
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate any client issues & reporting trends to
internal stakeholders
*Actively seek enhancements and make recommendations for new processes to improve
efficiencies, rectify inaccuracies or information gaps
*Demonstrates a collaborative approach to problem solving including influencing, negotiating
and gaining consensus in a positive solution-oriented manner.
*Possesses a high standard of integrity, loyalty and commitment and can earn the trust of
colleagues, senior management, internal stakeholders and clients
*Resilient - proactively overcomes obstacles and implements effective solutions accordingly.
