Responsibilities
Coordinate the entire release process, from planning to deployment.
Work with various teams, including development, testing, and operations, to ensure that the software product is released on time and meets the quality standards.
Work with stakeholders to plan and schedule software releases, considering the business priorities and dependencies.
Work with the testing team to ensure that the software is thoroughly tested before release.
Work with relevant stakeholders to help identify and remove impediments on a regular cadence.
Understand and be able to visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
Publish the release calendar to all stakeholders.
Experience with git or git-like tools for branch management.
Communicate with stakeholders, including developers, testers, scrum masters, product owners, and operations teams, to ensure that everyone is aligned on the release plan. Also coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure a smooth release process.
Possess problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or similar role.
Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
