Responsibilities
- Cash application for commissions received into Simply and Commission Tracker
- A/R collection from carriers for outstanding commission
- Process payables cheques/EFT (twice a month)
- Create new vendors and vendor files
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for USD, TPA account, American, American USD
- File HST and corporate taxes
- Cheque deposits
- Renew corporate and personal insurance licenses.
- Enter credit card receipts
- Monthly journal entries for bank withdrawals, payroll, taxes, ETD remittance.
- Send invoices to clients
- Payroll – semi-monthly (EasyPay)
- Process mail (delivered from Virtual office weekly)
- Group Benefits – employee setup
- Misc HR tasks
- Assist CFO in preparation of Year End financials (approx. November each year)
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working in full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping;
- Solid work history track record - we will be seeking strong recent employer management reference contacts;
- Ideally a completed accounting diploma program;
- Intermediate Excel skills - to support documents for the GL accounts - and seeking some formula-based experience.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is a professional bookkeeper seeking to add another client to your portfolio.
