We currently have an opening for problem solvers looking for a full time role as a Residential Service Technician. In this role you would work on both Commercial and Residential sites with a small team assisting with the installation of a variety of doors. We are looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience with general maintenance, repairing or installing overhead doors and frames. You would be checking on warranty's and work with welders, machinists, pipe fitters, and electricians. Our technicians deal face to face with our customers on and off site and therefore must be able to interact in a positive and professional manner. Our technicians will also have periods where they need to get up to a higher range to offer services, so we are looking for someone that is okay with heights and can work outdoors. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, Repair, Install and Maintain Residential and Commercial Overhead Doors
- Travel to a new location daily or to multiple locations a day between our customers and their job sites
- Ability of offer general maintenance when doors get jammed, or completely stop working
- Follow our health and safety guidelines in house or on-site and report any issues that may arise professionally
- Ability to log and track service calls and keep track of minor inventory needs and upcoming deadlines
- Ability to climb ladders, and assist in physical work such as lifting, climbing or carrying awkward shaped doors or equipment as needed.
- Upsell and suggest upgrades to older products and or outdated mechanics
Qualifications
- Electrical and Mechanical aptitude
- Full License and Clean Drivers Abstract a MUST for company vehicle assignment
- Understands Small Motors, and Gate operation and installations
- No physical limitations and must be okay with some heights
- Can work in or outdoors in any weather, sometimes underground in garages
- Can read and follow floor plans and blueprints
- Located in the Port Coquitlam, BC area
