    This is a contract position for a Software Developer for our client who is in the Broader Public Sector. Work location will be in North York and will involve a Hybrid Model with three days in the office a week at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

    The Contract runs for 6 months with some possibility of renewal when it runs out.

    Hours per day will be 7.25

    Responsibilities
    -Work with UX designers to ensure technical feasibility of their designs

    -Develop user-centric, intuitive, responsive, mobile friendly, accessible features

    -Provide direction and collaborate with back-end developers to produce efficient integrated solutions

    -Optimize front end applications to enhance user experience and improve performance

    -Supports the creation and maintenance of coding and development standards that adhere to best practices.

    -Build reusable components and microservices and follow emerging technologies

    -Create quality mock-ups and prototypes for testing

    -Implements and supports initiatives as required to deliver business objectives.

    -Reviews the work of other team members as required.

    -Provides input into the planning and implementation of the operational plan.

    -Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensures alignment.

    -Interacts with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the business and end-users.

    -Designs solutions, writes code, reviews code, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artifacts, and facilitates final delivery.

    -Assesses the costs and benefits for different solutions and gain consensus on proposed solution design and recommendations

    -Supports production issues, includes independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.

    -Identifies opportunities to strengthen the development capability, share expertise to promote technical development, and mentoring Junior Developers


    Qualifications
    *Solid experience in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap

    *Experience in building responsible and accessible solutions that meets WCAG 2.0 Standards

    *Experience with Cloud-based solutions, DevOps, and Microservices

    *Nice to have - Public Sector
