Responsibilities
The candidates will be working on back-end integration, web service, and API testing.
The OBR API Tester role will be required to:
plan, document and execute both manual and automated API test cases for:
connectivity/regression testing specific to the rollout of the new API gateway platform for the Ontario Business Registry application
regression/functional testing specific to new OBR ReST-based web services
fulfill the role of subject matter expert for issues and questions pertaining to configuration, access, and functionality of web services (APIs) in the OBR application
support and guide internal/external Ministry partners in their integration and testing activities related to the new API gateway platform and the roll-out of ReST-based APIs
Qualifications
SOAP + REST skills + IBM API Connect platform.
Expert QA testing experience (functional and non-functional) of SOAP-based and ReST-based transactional web services
5-10 years Hands-on testing experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle, structured SQL-based query languages, and IBM API Connect platform.
5-10 years expert experience in scripting, executing, and maintaining automated API/web service tests using third-party tools such as ReadyAPI, SoapUI and Postman
