Responsibilities
1. Support of the GO Secure environments for development, User Acceptance testing and Production, including:
1.1 Monitoring the health, performance and status of service components (e.g. technology stack);
1.2 Starting and stopping service components;
1.3 Backing up or recovering service components (e.g. associated data or configurations);
1.4 Tuning service components;
1.5 Maintaining service components (e.g. applying patches, renewing certificates or licenses);
1.6 Triaging, analysing, and resolving incidents related to GO Secure;
1.7 Identifying, analysing, and resolving problems related to GO Secure;
1.8 Assessing the impacts of changes on GO Secure, including changes raised by clients and service providers (e.g. ITS, CompuCom, Telus);
1.9 Documenting maintenance and support requirements and procedures.
2. Provide on-call support for the GO Secure production and production verification environments 24x7, and oncall support for the GO Secure non-production environments (e.g. development, SIT, UAT) on a 5x18 plus 2x12 basis.
2.1 Participate in incident management as an incident coordinator, incident analyst, or tier-2/tier-3 SME.
2.2 Participate in change management as a change coordinator, change analyst or application SME.
3. Support clients across the OPS and BPS to integrate their applications with GO Secure for identity and access management by:
3.1 Analyzing clients’ technical requirements, designing approaches/solutions;
3.2 Describing patterns related to integration approaches/solutions;
3.3 Developing processes and plans that support the application of patterns;
3.4 Constructing, testing, and deploying solutions;
3.5 Analyzing and resolving problems encountered during integration;
3.6 Developing utilities, scripts, applets, and reports to facilitate and automate the integration experience; and
3.7 Documenting approaches/solutions.
4. Improve the support posture of the GO Secure team by:
4.1 Developing requirements for support tools;
4.2 Evaluating and recommending tools;
4.3 Installing and configuring tools;
4.4 Developing, testing, and deploying programmatic constructs (e.g. scripts, queries, views, reports, procedures or other); and
4.5 Documenting maintenance and support requirements and procedures.
Foster a team culture of excellence and innovation, including:
5.1 Developing or informing the development of role descriptions for the sustainment of GO Secure, especially related to the technical support function;
5.2 Developing plans for the knowledge and skills transfer to OPS employees, including activities or tests to demonstrate the successful transfer of knowledge and attainment of required skills. OPS employees includes IT Source People Placement Service;
5.3 Developing plans for the transition of sustainment functions to OPS employees; and
5.4 Transferring knowledge to OPS employees
Qualifications
1. Sustainment of Large Identity Systems
1.1. 10+ years experience sustaining (e.g. administration, operations, support, patching, monitoring, starting/ stopping) COTS based identity and access management systems.
1.2. At least 4 years experience must be related to Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite Plus.
1.3. At least 4 years experience must be related to implementations with over 10,000 registered users.
1.4. 3+ years experience with the Oracle unified Methodology (OUM) for COTS implementations.
1.5. 2+ years of experience with Nagios and other system monitoring tools (e.g. Big Brother)
1.6. Working Knowledge and understanding of IT Security Technologies, particularly encryption and authentication technologies such as PKI, PMI and SSL.
2. Sustainment of Large Application Implementations
2.1. 10+ years experience designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large application implementations based on the following technology products: Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite, OHS, Tomcat, Windows Internet Information Server (IIS), IBM HTTP Server, Apache, IBM WebSphere, Oracle database 11g (and later), Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition, Solaris, Windows, AIX and Linux.
2.2. Experience with ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity Management.
3. Incident and Problem Management
3.1. 10+ years experience triaging, analysing, diagnosing (a.k.a trouble-shooting), evaluating options, and resolving application problems, especially those related to identity and access management systems and the above technologies.
3.2. Experience with decision making processes.
4. Quality Assurance
4.1. 10+ years experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users.
4.2. Experience with Change Management and Release Management as processes supporting the implementation of large applications.
4.3. Experience with automated testing tools, such as Team Foundation Server (TFS)
4.4. 3+ years experience with the Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) for COTS implementations or its predecessors (e.g. Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM)) or equivalents.
5. Soft Skills
5.1. At least one (1) new implementations of Oracle OIAM, i.e. focus on design, build/construct, test, and deployment; or
5.2. At least one (1) migration (or re-implementation) from Release 1 to a later release (e.g. Release 2 or 3).
5.3. 4+ years experience tuning the performance of large applications.
5.4. 2+ years experience with Nagios and other system monitoring tools (e.g. Big Brother).
5.5. Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
5.6. Knowledge of IT security technologies particularly encryption and authentication technologies such as PKI, PMI, and SSL.
