Responsibilities
• Provide planning, assessment, and development effort to complete the migration of 625 IBM Cognos reports to Power BI
• Work with project team to complete all relevant and required documentation, such as knowledge transfer, and communication, to support the completion of the project
DELIVERABLES:
• Review IBM Cognos reports within scope of project to understand functionality, logic and design
• Perform assessment, and define approach in collaboration with project team and stakeholder to migrate IBM Cognos reports to Power BI
• Perform design and development activities to migrate IBM Cognos reports to Power in alignment with OPS Standards and Guidelines (i.e. AODA, WCAG 2.0 Level AA)
• Perform troubleshooting and apply corrective actions to resolve reports and dashboard issues discovered during pre-release testing
• Work with project team to provide relevant and required documentation to support migration activities and knowledge transfer
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities
Qualifications
Must Haves:
• At least 5 years of experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Experience working in a business intelligence team/ environment, developing and delivering reports and dashboards
• Experience working with IBM Cognos Report Studio to design and develop reports and dashboards, as well as writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries
• Experience working with Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Report Builder to design and develop reports and dashboards
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of Power BI Service, functions, capabilities, security options, etc.
