This is a Hybrid Role with 3 days in the office a week. This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.

Responsibilities
Provide hands-on software development, maintenance, and support to the operation of the OHFS platform
Identify the GAPs in the existing Java WebSphere systems and identify best entry points to create enhancements and bugfixes
Prepare the remediation plan to address the gaps
Conduct global and detailed system analysis on the existing four systems, and design practical solutions for enhancements based on quarterly changes in business requirements, implement solutions, conduct system testing, deploy to server environments, and provide daily operational support
Design and development – design, develop and maintain system design models, technical documentation and specifications to keep the documents up to date
Provide operational support to business users
R&D for solutions proposal to rewrite/migrate onto Azure Cloud -- conduct research and development to come up with proof of concept to define a road map for the modernization of the existing applications to Cloud Platform with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Node.JS
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to FTE, including training to FTE as needed to improve team skills and knowledge
Provide technical expertise with technologies including IBM HTTP Server 9.x.x, IBM WebSphere Server 9.x.x, Azure SQL, Java Server Face, Servlet, Regular Expression, LDAP, Java to Excel libraries
Install / configure / administer IBM HTTP Server and WebSphere Server in clustered formation
Provide support to business operation to provide operational warranty when the IT solutions are implemented.
Qualifications
10+ years experience with Solutions development
Experience with Java 1.8, JEE 8, WebSphere 9.x.x
Experience in leading the development of highly scalable cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Microservices, API Management and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing.
Experience developing Azure Cloud applications.
Demonstrated knowledge and hands on experience with various programming languages, development techniques, and development tools, such as JavaScript, node.js, JSON, REST API, MS SQL.
Experience with relational database technologies like SQL Server Database.
Experience with making Application accessibility compliant (AODA)
You have the ability to lead teams through end-to-end software development life cycle, including deployment using DevOps tools and agile techniques.
You have knowledge/experience in code management and change management using Cloud-based tools like GitHub
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Public sector exp- preferred.
