The resource will:
Provide strategic advice and technical expertise on Data Centre Network (DCN) infrastructure services in order to facilitate the development and deployment of complex DCN operationalization plans. New DCN Technologies will consist of modernized Network architecture and technologies including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and SDWAN technology to be delivered based on the client’s service specifications, standards, policies, best practices and cost models. This will include the drafting of strategic documents, presentations, financial models.
Lead and/or support the posting of Second stage RFD's (request for deliverables) working with various Government Data Centre Operations support teams to accomplish a successful RFD outcome.
Lead, improve and support the day to day operations of on-prem network infrastructure including integration and upkeep with cloud vendors.
Support migration to new hardware and software stack from L2 and L3 networking perspective.
Support LCM maturity by assisting in refresh strategy from networking perspective.
Performance and capacity management for switches, routers, IPAM and load balancers.
Hybrid integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Assist in process refinement, application performance improvements.
Assist networking and operations teams including Clusters with priority 1 incidents for mission critical applications as required 9. Guide integration team to enable networking and pipeline service.
Qualifications
Demonstrated 10+ years’ experience working for at an Enterprise level in a technical or business capacity with experience in n-Tiered Data Centre Networks and Tier-IV Data Centre environments.
Demonstrated 5+ years preparing/developing and responding to RFB's, RFD's and RFI's related to complex Enterprise Data Centre Networks hosted in a certified Tier-IV Data Centre.
Demonstrated 7+ years’ experience evaluating, analyzing and developing Data Centre Network strategies and models.
Demonstrated 8+ years' conducting business analysis related to Data Centre service delivery and evaluating service delivery models for next generation services such as Hybrid Cloud; on-premis private and off-premis public cloud, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
