Responsibilities
he business analyst/product manager’s primary responsibilities are as follows:
Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.
Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:
Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
Defining the product vision
Ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience
Identify and fill product gaps
Generate new ideas that grow market share
Improve customer experience
Drive growth
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with engineering/technical teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Qualifications
Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong stakeholder management skills and has the ability to explain complex, technical concepts in plain language
Political Acuity and understands how to present to wide range of audiences including government executives, external stakeholders, etc
Able to manage multiple deliverables concurrently and prioritize workload, pivot based on business direction
Coordinates with stakeholders to schedule workshops, working sessions to meet tight delivery due dates
Experience delivering products and services using the Agile methodology. Not mandatory but an asset if have experience delivering agile technology projects in a public sector environment.
Experience running beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples becoming an expert with respect to the competition
Strong understanding of how to prioritize product backlog, pivot when priorities change and develop strategies, recommendations for product delivery based on multiple competing stakeholder demands.
