This is a contract position for a Project Manager Leader for our client who is in the Broader Public Sector. Work location will be in Downtown Toronto
This is a Hybrid Role with 3 days in the office a week. This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.

Responsibilities
1. Define the project work, standards, and processes to execute multiple projects. In a project context, culminating in a plan for solution components that informs an overall Integrated Project Plan.
2. Manage the day-to-day work of project team, which includes: task assignments, managing priorities, monitoring project team deliverables, and resolving problems and removing roadblocks. Ensures that the project team accurately records time against project activities (or tasks).
3. Provide updates to the Program Manager on progress, issues and risks of their project deliverables.
4. Manage project issues and risks (e.g. identifies, monitors, escalates, resolves, and reports) through the team. Escalate issues to the Program Manager. Informs the issues logs and risk registers for the overall project, if applicable.
5. Provide regular communication and status updates to the Program Manager.
6. Lead, facilitate, coordinate project team meetings. Track action items, decision items, risks and issues that come out of meetings and updates the Program Manager.
7. Work closely with the Product Owner, Technology Architects, Business Analysts, Operations Manager and Systems Analysts to ensure meeting the objectives of the project.
8. Manage integration requests and associated resources from signed LoA through Go Live and stabilization:
8.1. Manage a consolidated schedule / plan for all Public Secure integrations
8.2. Assign resources to integration work and balance workload across the team responsible (including vendor and partner resources)
8.3. Support development of the Letter of Agreement (LoA) for all integrations targeted at the Public Secure Pilot
8.4. Provide reports (e.g. client list) on the status of integrations for Public Secure to the Program Manager and other key stakeholders, i.e. Department management and IAM Governance Committees
8.5. Identify and manage risks and issues that arise from Public Secure integrations
9. Manage stakeholders’ expectations to align to integration process and methodologies.
10. Ensure quality standards (including those outlined in the vendor SOW) are met by both clients and the project team.
11. Develop and implement project processes for integration of critical business applications
Qualifications
Technology Leadership: 10+ years experience in technology project management.Demonstrated experience gathering and developing requirements in order to create and maintain project schedules and integrated plans.Demonstrated experience with identifying and defining architectural requirements.Demonstrated experience with change management.Demonstrated experience identifying risks and providing proper mitigation strategies.Demonstrated experience managing the implementation of application, infrastructure or migration activities.Experience with Change Management and Release Management as processes supporting the implementation of large enterprise applications.
10+ years of experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of large applications. Experience with ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity Management. Technology Experience: Demonstrated experience with the design of new enterprise and application layers. Ability to define, identify and describe information architectural requirements with clients. Demonstrated experience with common, consistent, shareable, re-usable and extensible data structures. Knowledge of application and infrastructure design.
10+ years of experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of large applications. Vendor Management Experience: Demonstrated experience working with and managing external vendor relationships. Demonstrated experience drafting SOW, Work orders and contract negotiations. Demonstrated vendor management experience in OPS / government setting, understanding of Procurement practices. Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with team, clients, various stakeholders and senior Management. Demonstrated experience reporting on progress of deliverables, milestones, issues and risks to various audiences, including steering committees and formal status reporting. Demonstrated experience preparing documentation such as Presentations, other technical documentation/deliverables (i.e. technical strategy document, option analysis) etc.Experience providing updates and advice to senior management. Experience presenting to executive steering committees responsible for project oversight and decision-making.
